I'm
a freelance photographer and photo journalist and
my work has been published worldwide. Heavily influenced at an
impressionable age by Cartier-Bresson, Brassai & Capa, I specialise in covering unconventional events, campaigns and community activism.
These include the Bonfire Celebrations in Lewes and across Sussex
(of which an exhibition is planned for Autumn 2008) Brighton Festival Fringe, the World
Pea Throwing Competion and some classically "Lewes" events such as the Encierro
dos Animales Pantamimos and the Old & Bitter Welterweight Relay.
I covered most of the events that
occurred during Brighton & Hove
Albion Football Club's 10-year campaign to build a community
stadium at Falmer. I've also worked on a number
of ad campaigns - ranging from bikinis to a "couture collection" of
doggy fashion!
A
member of the NUJ, my client list includes the BBC, The Independent,
Archant, Newsquest, Johnson Press, Granada Media, Channel 4 News,
the Commission for Racial Equality, the Foreign & Commonwealth
Office and Brighton & Hove Albion FC.
I aim to produce atmospheric
images that capture the essence of every event I cover and revel
in recording the eccentricites of everyday life - or, to put
it simply, People Doing Very Silly Things. I welcome commissions
to take pictures of anything ...except weddings.
